How to submit your local event to the Dual Diagnosis Hub Local website
Table of Contents
With the Dual Diagnosis Hub: Local website, you can submit your locally focussed events that relate to mental health, addiction, or specific dual diagnosis-related organisations. But, in order to be able to do this, you’ll need to log in with your new account (or register with the site if you haven’t already done so).
Please note: You will only need to register once in order to have a login setup for any of the Dual Diagnosis Hub websites, and we recommend that you register with the main site, but you could also register with the Dual Diagnosis Hub: Local website and that’s what this tutorial describes. For a tutorial on how to register with the main Dual Diagnosis Hub website, please click here.
This short tutorial will tell you how to do this:
Step 1: Visit the Dual Diagnosis Hub: Local website
Visit the home page of the main Dual Diagnosis Hub website:
https://local.dualdiagnosis.org.uk
Step 2: Click on the Login link in the header and enter your username and password
Enter your username and password and then click on the “Log In’ button:
Step 3: Click on the ‘Add Event’ link in the main navigation
Step 4: Enter the information about your event that you want to be displayed on your listing
- Choose the package that you’d like to use: Basic Organisation Listing (£1 per year), Featured Business Listing (£15 per year), or the Featured Business Listing with Home Page Advert (£5.99 per month).
- Enter the text that you’d like to add to your organisation’s listing into the ‘Place Description’ text area.
- Upload your organisation’s logo by click on the ‘Select File’ button (this is used in the directory.
- Enter the tags that you’d like to add to your listing (these help visitors to the site to find your organisation and can be service names or location features).
- Select the main categories you’d like your organisation to be added to (you can choose multiple categories if your organisation accurately fits them).
- Select the main category that you’d like your listing to be featured in (you can only choose one).
- Choose the country and then enter your organisation’s address.
- Once you’ve added your postcode, click on the ‘Set Address on Map’ button and adjust the zoom level to how you’d like the map displayed on your organisation’s listing.
- Latitude and longitude numbers can be found on Google Maps, but usually, you can just leave these empty.
- Upload any photos, images or documents that you’d like to be shown on your listing.
- Add contact details for your organisation including contact phone number, email address, and website address.
- Depending on the type of listing package you chose, you will be able to add the social media channels that you want displayed on your listing.
- You can also add the embed code for a video on YouTube if you’d like a video to be displayed on your listing.
- You can also add any special offers, discounts, or any other useful information into the ‘Special Offers’ text area.
- You can set your organisation’s opening hours to your listing too.
- Check the ‘Business Owner/Associate?’ checkbox if you work for or own/run the organisation that you’re submitting.
- Enter any discount/coupon code if & when you’er asked for your payment method.
- Finally, click on the ‘Submit Listing’ button to submit your organisation (Note: a ‘Preview Listing’ button will let you see what your new listing will look like), and then that’s your listing added.
Step 4: Wait for up to 24 hours for your listing to be approved
Please note: This will be instant if you’ve paid for your event(s) to be featured.
- Your listing will need to be approved by our site’s administrator and this will usually be done within 72 hours of submitting your listing.
- If we’ve found any issues with your organisation or event listing, then we will contact you at the email address used for your user account.
- If your listing still hasn’t been approved after 72 hours, then please email us at hello@dualdiagnosis.org.uk to let us know that there’s been a problem with your listing and we will look into why your organisation hasn’t been approved.
And that’s it!
And, that’s it! Once your listing has been approved, your organisation or event will be displayed in the relevant section on the Dual Diagnosis Hub: Local website.
Please Note: In order to submit nationally focussed organisations, you’ll need to login and visit the main Dual Diagnosis Hub website. The login that you’ve just created should now work on that site too.
